The Knowledge page: the browser extension card, freshness counts and the Tier 1 sources The Knowledge page: the browser extension card, freshness counts and the Tier 1 sources

What's on it

  • Browser extension. Pair the Area O1 capture extension so official pages that block automated reading (many USCIS pages) are saved when you visit them. It never browses on its own and only talks to Area O1 on your computer. See Capture extension and community vault.
  • Freshness counts: Tier 1 sources that are fresh, all fresh sources, stale ones, ones that can't be read automatically, and open conflicts.
  • Sources by tier. Tier 1 is primary law and agency guidance (the regulations, the USCIS Policy Manual); lower tiers are supporting material. Each shows when it was last checked and its latest snapshot.
  • Recent changes and Open conflicts: what changed since the last check, and places where sources disagree.
  • Check what's due fetches every source whose freshness ran out.

Why it matters

When the agent states a rule ("EB-1A requires evidence of at least three of the ten criteria"), the rule check looks for a fresh vault passage that supports it. If there's none, the statement is marked unverified, and unverified rule statements can't go into letters, exhibits or exports. See Rule check and the knowledge vault.

For a page that can't be read automatically, you can also import a copy you saved yourself.
